ATLANTA – Harris County is buzzing with news of a lucky lottery store. A $1 million Georgia Lottery Big Payout ticket was recently sold at Buck Stop, located at 12255 Warm Springs Road in Ellerslie

Gloria Patel, who owns the store with her husband, Peter, sold the instant game top prize ticket.

James Shaw Jr., a Midland resident, claimed his Big Payout prize July 1.

According to Patel, the winner called her his “lucky charm” during the purchase.

“It came out true, so it’s very exciting,” she exclaimed. “It’s good to know you’re somebody’s lucky charm.”

Patel celebrated with the winner in the store after the big win.

“He showed me the ticket, and I had to give him a hug,” she said.

According to Patel, word is spreading that Buck Stop is a lucky store.

“If this can happen, anything can happen,” she said. “Everybody around here is really excited about that.”
