ATLANTA – The Georgia Lottery has turned out a winning pie for an assistant manager in Union Point. A $119,176 jackpot prize was on the menu for Julia Wallace, 52, who matched all five winning numbers from the March 20 Fantasy 5 drawing.
Wallace, an assistant manager for a pizza restaurant, claimed her prize Tuesday morning at the Georgia Lottery’s District Office in Augusta.
The lucky winner is frozen in awe over winning the top prize.
“A friend called me at home. They thought I had won,” she explained. “I generally don’t play much, and they knew I played for that day. It was a random selection.”
Winning numbers from the March 20 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 1-11-19-24-25.
Valero Food Mart, 2280 S. Main St. in Greensboro, sold the winning Quik Pik ticket.
“I couldn’t believe it. I was more in shock,” Wallace said.
The grandmother of two, with one adult son, intends to pay off bills with her winnings.
