ATLANTA – A Cordele lumber salesman has chopped down a $1 million prize. Bradley King Hunter, 32, won his top prize playing the Georgia Lottery instant game Millionaire Celebration.

The lucky lottery winner had redeemed a free Millionaire Celebration ticket from a previous play when he won his prize at Flint River Food Mart, 904 E. 16th Ave. in Cordele.

“It was unreal, unbelievable,” he said. “I did about six takes. I was yelling and giving out high fives.”

Hunter said he has no immediate plans for his win.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $11.9 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.2 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
