Winning ticket worth $2.5M sold in Hinesville

ATLANTA – A winning Georgia Lottery instant ticket with a multi-million dollar top prize was sold in Liberty County. Hinesville Station, located at 1046 W. Oglethorpe Highway in Hinesville, sold a Millionaire Jumbo Bucks instant ticket worth $2.5 million.

Perry, Fla., resident Stanley Carlton is the winner who claimed his prize recently at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Savannah.

In 2011, Hinesville Station sold another Georgia Lottery instant ticket with a seven-night vacation package for two on a Royal Caribbean cruise as a top prize.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $14.3 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.4 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.2 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
