ATLANTA – Georgia Lottery players statewide won big from Saturday’s historic $591 million Powerball drawing.
Winning tickets worth $1 million were sold at RaceTrac #0543, 1465 Riverstone Parkway in Canton, and Corner Cupboard #0003, 3857 Milgen Road in Columbus.
Two of 17 winning tickets worth $10,000 were sold in Decatur with the others sold in Buford, Columbus, Lindale, Duluth, Savannah, Atlanta, Marietta, Buchanan, Calhoun, Carrollton, Hiram, Covington, Cumming, Mableton and an Internet wager winner.
One winning Powerball ticket worth $40,000 was sold at Murphy Express #8566, 224 Bobby Jones Expressway in Augusta.
Winning numbers from Wednesday’s Powerball drawing were: 10-13-14-22-52 and the Powerball was 11.
Wednesday’s jackpot is at an estimated $40 million to a single annuity winner.
Powerball tickets are $2 per play. Players can add the Power Play feature for an additional $1 per play.
As with all other Georgia Lottery games, proceeds from Powerball will benefit education in the state of Georgia.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $14.3 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.4 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.2 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
