ATLANTA – A Marietta woman is celebrating a win from the Georgia Lottery. Tarra Tremege is beaming, especially since winning her $1 million top prize playing the Georgia Lottery’s 20th Anniversary Extravaganza instant game.
“I decided to play a ticket, and I won $50,” Tremege said. “Then I had a dream that I’d won $1 million.”
She went to CITGO Food Mart, 2020 Lower Roswell Road in Marietta, where she purchased the lucky ticket.
“I told the clerk to give me two tickets and the second one was $1 million,” she said.
Tremege was excited.
“I asked the cashier to come over and look at the ticket just to make sure I wasn’t seeing things,” she said.
With her winnings, Tremege intends to donate to charities researching cures for Parkinson’s disease, and she anticipates purchasing a new car.
