Winning ticket worth $227K sold in Atkinson County

ATLANTA – A winning Georgia Lottery ticket worth $227,137 was sold in Atkinson County. Aden’s Minit Market #66, located at 104 Church St. N. in Pearson, sold the winning ticket that matched all five numbers from the July 27 Fantasy 5 drawing.

The winner, Willie Gager of Axson, claimed the jackpot prize Monday at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Tifton.

Winning numbers from the July 27 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 8-17-29-32-38.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $14.6 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.6 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.2 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
