Decatur Woman Wins $64,000: First to Win Fantasy 5 with Free Ticket!

ATLANTA – Alice Robinson of Decatur is the first Georgia Lottery player to win a Fantasy 5 top prize with a free ticket won by matching two of five numbers. Mrs. Robinson won $64,360 when her free ticket matched all five winning numbers in the Fantasy 5 drawing on April 12. With the recent relaunch of Fantasy 5, players matching two of five numbers can win a free Fantasy 5 Quik Pik ticket for the next scheduled drawing. Mrs. Robinson was traveling with her husband when she purchased a Fantasy 5 ticket at Shell, located at 1860 Hwy. 18 in West Point. She won a free ticket and redeemed it at the same retailer on her way back home. The free ticket she received was the top prize winner. As a retired state of Georgia administrator, Mrs. Robinson enjoys traveling in her spare time. The 54-year-old is planning a family getaway in June with a portion of her winnings. Mrs. Robinson and her husband have two sons, including one who attended college on a HOPE Scholarship. The winning numbers for the Fantasy 5 drawing on April 12 were: 06-07-15-31-32. Georgia Lottery retailers selling winning Fantasy 5 tickets receive a retailer incentive bonus of $2,000. The retailer incentive bonus increases by $2,000 each time Fantasy 5 rolls. If more than one winning top prize ticket is sold, the retailers selling the top prize winning tickets will share the bonus. Shell will receive a retailer incentive bonus of $2,000. Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned over $7.4 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs.
