Winning ticket worth $500K sold in Stone Mountain

ATLANTA – A food mart in Stone Mountain has sold a lucky Georgia Lottery instant ticket worth a half-million dollars. Food Mart, located at 5664 Memorial Drive in Stone Mountain, sold a Jumbo Jumbo Bucks instant ticket with a $500,000 top prize.

The winner is Huy Tran of Stone Mountain who claimed his prize recently at Georgia Lottery headquarters in Atlanta.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $14.6 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.6 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.2 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
