Winning tickets worth $260K sold in Palmetto, Union City

ATLANTA – Two lucky retailers in Coweta and south Fulton counties have sold winning Fantasy 5 tickets worth $260,843 from the Sept. 6 drawing.

DJ’s Grocery II, located at 504 Main St. in Palmetto, sold the winning Quik Pik ticket to Frank Harper of Union City.

Shannon Beverage Warehouse Outlet, located at 6900 Londonderry Way in Union City, sold the winning Quik Pik ticket to Montez Daughtery of Atlanta.

Harper and Daughtery matched all five winning numbers from the drawing, and both claimed their prizes Monday at Georgia Lottery headquarters in Atlanta.

Winning numbers from the Sept. 6 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 2-9-12-25-34.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $14.6 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.6 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.2 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
