Thursday, September 12, 2013

ATLANTA – Rhonda Tompkins of Atlanta is celebrating a $20,000 Georgia Lottery win. Tompkins, 51, is the first big winner in the Georgia Lottery’s Play It Again monthly drawings.

“Unbelievable,” Tompkins said. “This is totally unexpected.”

As a monthly grand prize winner in the Georgia Lottery’s Play It Again Second Chance Promotion, Tompkins won a chance to select one envelope from 20, with prizes ranging from $5,000 to $100,000.

The envelope Tompkins chose contained a $20,000 prize.

“I’m going to pay a few things off, help my husband with a thing or two, and do a few things around the house,” said Tompkins, a property manager.

With the Georgia Lottery’s Play It Again Second Chance Promotion, players can enter non-winning $1 and $2 instant game tickets to win exciting prizes during the lottery’s 20th anniversary year.
