4 Fantasy 5 winners statewide strike $207K prizes

ATLANTA – Four lucky retailers statewide have sold winning Fantasy 5 tickets worth $207,979 from the Sept. 20 drawing.

Winner Mabel Simmons of Lawrenceville received a free Quik Pik ticket from Publix Super Market #0863, located at 1030 Old Peachtree Road N.W. in Lawrenceville.

James Greathouse of Flintstone, the second winner, also received a free Quik Pik ticket from Mega Star Food Mart #0004, located at 8524 Alabama Highway in Ringgold.

Simmons and Greathouse received their free Quik Pik tickets by matching two of five winning numbers from a previous drawing.

Neighborhood Food Mart, located at 2675 Montpelier Ave. in Macon, sold the third winning Quik Pik ticket to Larry Major of Macon.

Those winners claimed their prizes Monday at Georgia Lottery district offices in Duluth, Dalton and Macon, respectively.

The fourth jackpot winning ticket was sold at BP Gas Station, located at 2597 Highway 54 in Peachtree City. A winner has not yet come forward to claim the prize.

Fantasy 5 winners have 180 days from the draw date to claim their prizes.

The winning numbers from the Sept. 20 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 6-10-26-38-39.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $14.6 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.6 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.2 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
