ATLANTA – A lucky Georgia Lottery player was amazed to win a $75,000 prize in Rome. James Wadkins won his top prize playing Jumbo Bucks Classic – Anniversary Edition.
A Gadsden, Ala., resident, Wadkins purchased the winning ticket at Fast Trip #0002, 9522 Alabama Highway N.W. in Rome.
“My brother and I just went to purchase lottery tickets,” he said. “When I scratched it off, I couldn’t believe it.”
Wadkins, a technical support director, has one 13-year-old son with his wife, Allison.
Excited over his windfall, Wadkins intends to save his winnings toward college for his teenage son.
