Streak of luck: Warner Robins man wins $379K prize

Thursday, September 26, 2013

ATLANTA – With a streak of luck, a Warner Robins man has won a substantial prize playing Fantasy 5. Marvin Sumner, 62, matched all five numbers from the Sept. 25 drawing, winning the $379,331 jackpot prize.

Sumner claimed his prize Thursday at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Macon.

He plans to enjoy his windfall.

“I’m going to hang on to it,” Sumner said.

Winning numbers from the Sept. 25 Fantasy 5drawing were: 5-9-20-21-29.

Grub N Gas, 201 Moseley Road in Byron, sold the winning Quik Pik ticket.

Sumner’s television broke just prior to the televised drawing, so he called the Georgia Lottery’s Player Information Hot Line for the results.

“I said, ‘Wait! This can’t be real,’ ” he recalled. “It just didn’t seem real.”

The lucky winner still is in disbelief.

“I’m not sure I’ve awoken,” Sumner said. “I still feel like I’m in a dream.”
