Winning Mega Millions ticket worth $250K sold in Valdosta

ATLANTA – A winning Mega Millions ticket worth a quarter-millions dollars was sold in Valdosta. Flash Foods #0273, located at 4205 N. Valdosta Road, sold a winning ticket from the Sept. 17 Mega Millions drawing worth $250,000.

The winner, Monique Alexander of Hahira, matched the first five winning numbers from the drawing to claim her prize.

Winning numbers from the Sept. 17 Mega Millions drawing were: 6-15-27-31-39 and the Mega Ball was 25.

Tuesday’s Mega Millions drawing is at an estimated $189 million to a single annuity winner.

It only takes $1 to play Mega Millions for a chance to win big. Players can multiply prizes with the Megaplier option for an additional $1 per play.

As with all other Georgia Lottery games, proceeds from Mega Millions will benefit education in the state of Georgia.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $14.6 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.6 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.2 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
