ATLANTA – Barrett Lawson, 43, of Milledgeville is thrilled to win a prize from the Georgia Lottery worth $100,000. The lucky winner netted his top prize playing the instant game $100,000 Monte Carlo.
Excited, Lawson claimed his prize Tuesday at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Macon.
Quik Stop #0003, 2653 N. Columbia St. in Milledgeville, sold the winning ticket.
“I got the ticket, and I couldn’t believe what I saw,” he said. “I felt like I was led to the ticket.”
Lawson described the moment as emotional.
“The feeling is indescribable,” he said.
With two children, 9 months and 8 years old, the lucky winner intends to invest a portion of his winnings and plans to donate to a charity.
