Hapeville store sells winning ticket worth $256K

ATLANTA – A Hapeville store has sold a winning Fantasy 5 ticket worth more than a quarter of a million dollars. Otter #0003, located at 971 Virginia Ave. in Hapeville, sold a winning ticket worth $256,768 that matched all five winning numbers from the Oct. 13 Fantasy 5 drawing.

The winner, Thomas Bush of Atlanta, claimed his prize Monday at Georgia Lottery headquarters in Atlanta.

Winning numbers from the Oct. 13 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 3-6-7-15-23.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $14.6 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.6 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.2 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
