Cartersville man claims $80K Fantasy 5 prize

Monday, October 21, 2013

ATLANTA – A Cartersville man has chiseled a jackpot prize playing Fantasy 5. Charles Hatch, who works in carpet manufacturing, matched all five winning numbers from the Oct. 8 Fantasy 5 drawing for an $80,289 prize.

Hatch is one of three players each to win the $80,289 jackpot prize.

Ameri-Mart, 1153 Burnt Hickory Road S.E. in Cartersville, sold the winning ticket. The other jackpot winning tickets were sold in Atlanta and West Point.

Winning numbers from the Oct. 8 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 1-4-17-31-33.

Checking the Georgia Lottery’s website, Hatch discovered he’d won.

“I called my wife, and she’s pretty excited,” he said.

The lucky winner and his wife, Nancy, have two adult children and one grandchild.

Hatch intends to pay off his bills.
