Winning Fantasy 5 ticket worth $552K sold in Gwinnett

ATLANTA – A Fantasy 5 ticket worth more than a half-million dollars was sold in Gwinnett County. Kroger #0494, located at 3300 Hamilton Mill Road in Buford, sold a winning ticket worth $552,169 that matched all five numbers from the Jan. 19 Fantasy 5 drawing.

The winner, Barber Forrest of Buford, claimed his prize Tuesday at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Duluth.

Winning numbers from the Jan. 19 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 8-16-18-27-30.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $15 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.6 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.3 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
