Wednesday, February 19, 2014

ATLANTA – Bridgette Harrell of Colquitt has scooped a Georgia Lottery prize and is enjoying her windfall. Harrell, 48, won a $75,000 top prize playing the instant game Jumbo Bucks Classic – Anniversary Edition.

“I walked in and bought the ticket,” said Harrell, a food safety facilitator. “I got so excited.”

Fast Stop, 309 E. Third St. in Donalsonville, sold the winning ticket.

“I waited until I got home to scratch the ticket, and I was flabbergasted,” she said. “I was stunned.”

Harrell is a mother of three daughters all of whom are in college. The lucky winner intends to save her winnings.

“I’m going to put it up for a rainy day,” Harrell shared.
