ATLANTA- Warehouse lead man James Wallace has topped off the month of July with another Georgia Lottery win. Last week, Mr. Wallace won $1,000 playing $100 Million Cash Spectacular, an instant game. On July 16 he purchased a Big Bills instant game ticket and won the $500,000 top prize. The Marietta resident could hardly believe his luck when he scratched his ticket while in the parking lot of the store where he purchased it. Mr. Wallace says when he saw that he was a winner “my knees buckled.” The 49-year-old hunts and fishes in his spare time. He plans to use his winnings to buy a new truck and to take a trip to Jamaica. Fulton Texaco Food Mart, located at 4455 Fulton Industrial Blvd. in Atlanta, sold Mr. Wallace his winning ticket. Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned over $7.6 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs. These include Georgia’s HOPE scholarship program; a statewide, voluntary pre-kindergarten program for four-year-olds; and a wide range of technological and capital upgrades for the state’s schools, technical institutes, colleges, universities and public libraries.
