Loganville printing operator highlights $565K jackpot prize

Friday, March 28, 2014

ATLANTA – A Loganville printing machine operator has inked a big Fantasy 5 win from the Georgia Lottery. Joseph Palmer, 42, matched all five numbers from the March 18 Fantasy 5 drawing, winning the $565,097 jackpot prize.

Palmer purchased his winning Quik Pik ticket at Quicks Korner, 2324 Claude Brewer Road in Loganville.

Winning numbers from the March 18 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 1-6-20-32-37.

“I was getting my Coke, and I stopped and scanned my ticket,” he said. “I asked the clerk to read the numbers, too, to be sure.”

Winning feels indescribable, Palmer shared.

“Like jumping out of an airplane: an adrenaline rush,” he said.

The father of two intends to pay off bills and visit his mother with his winnings.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $15 billion to the state of Georgia for education.
