Winning ticket worth $1M sold in Savannah

ATLANTA – A winning ticket worth $1 million was sold in Savannah from Friday’s Mega Millions drawing. Gas & Moore, located at 4700 Highway 80 E. in Savannah, sold a ticket that matched the first five winning numbers from the June 6 Mega Millions drawing.

Two additional tickets worth $5,000 were sold in Atlanta and Woodstock from Friday’s drawing.

Winning numbers from the June 6 Mega Millions drawing were: 12-29-37-49-72 and the Mega Ball was 9.

Players in Georgia have 180 days from the draw date to claim winning prizes.

As with all other Georgia Lottery games, proceeds from Mega Millions will benefit education in the state of Georgia.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $15.3 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.6 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.3 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
