ATLANTA – A Roswell woman is revved up after winning a brand-new car. Anne Buckle played the Georgia Lottery instant game Mustang Money and won a 2005 Ford Mustang Convertible.
Georgia Lottery retailer Corner Grocery, located at 15 Woodstock St. in Roswell, sold the lucky ticket.
According to Mrs. Buckle, she scratched her ticket in the store. “I showed it to the guy at the register and he said, ‘Dude, you just won a car!’” “I was extremely excited,” shares Mrs. Buckle. “Everybody was just stunned.”
Mrs. Buckle, 41, works as a senior computer consultant for Seimens. She looks forward to having fun in her new car with her husband, James, and daughter, Amanda.
“It’s an awesome car!” she exclaims. “We’ll have fun. We’ll take it on trips.”
Mustang Money is a $3 game with a $75,000 top prize and the chance to instantly win one of 10 2005 Ford Mustang Convertibles. Mrs. Buckle was the second winner to claim a car.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned over $7.6 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs. These include Georgia’s HOPE scholarship program; a statewide, voluntary pre-kindergarten program for four-year-olds; and a wide range of technological and capital upgrades for the state’s schools, technical institutes, colleges, universities and public libraries.
