ATLANTA – A retired drywall finisher was floored after winning a plentiful prize from the Georgia Lottery. William Smith of Blairsville won a $400,000 top prize playing the instant game Lucky Streak.
Smith, 59, was with his wife, Debra, while on the way to a relative’s house. They stopped at Rebels Pantry #0009, 430 Young Harris Highway 76 in Blairsville, where Smith purchased the lucky ticket.
“I was sitting in the car, and I scratched it off,” he recalled. “I don’t believe this! It feels good.”
With an adult daughter, Smith anticipates using his winnings to look toward the family’s future.
