Winning ticket worth $600K sold in Hephzibah

ATLANTA – A winning ticket worth more than a half-million dollars was sold in Hephzibah. First Stop Tobacco Road, located at 2762 Tobacco Road, sold a winning Georgia Lottery instant ticket with a $600,000 top prize.

The winner, Ward Fenner of Hephzibah, played the instant game $600,000 Rich to win his prize. He claimed it at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Augusta.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $15.3 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.6 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.3 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
