Friday, July 18, 2014

ATLANTA – A $100,000 Georgia Lottery prize is on the menu for one lucky grocery produce manager. Jeffrey Ryals of Kathleen won a $100,000 prize playing the new instant game Million $$ Match.

Ryals, 59, claimed his prize Thursday at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Macon.

Kroger #0641, 774 Ga. Highway 96 in Bonaire, sold the winning ticket.

“I almost fell out,” he said. “I’m overjoyed! I think I’m dreaming.”

The lucky winner and his wife, Pam, have two adult children.

“I’ll probably buy a car, if not two,” Ryals shared.

The new Georgia Lottery instant game Million $$ Match is loaded with cash prizes, including top prizes of $1 million.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $15.5 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.6 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.3 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
