ATLANTA – Construction worker Larry Walker assembled a quarter-million dollar win when he recently played Mega Millions. Mr. Walker matched the first five winning numbers in the August 2 Mega Millions drawing and won $250,000.
Mr. Walker discovered that he was a winner when he read the drawing results in a newspaper. The winning numbers for the August 2 Mega Millions drawing were: 17-22-39-50-52 and the Gold Mega Ball was 46.
The Fort Payne, Ala. resident plans to use his winnings to pay for his wife to finish college. “She’s been going to school at night,” Mr. Walker explained.

The winning ticket was purchased at BJ Food Mart #0002, located at 12510 Hwy. 48 in Cloudland.
