ATLANTA - Arvan Singal, a resident of Duluth, has dreamed of becoming a Georgia Lottery winner. The dream came true for Ms. Singal when she played the Georgia Lottery Corporation’s $45,000 Money Machine instant game and won the $45,000 top prize.
The sales associate scratched her ticket while at home, then took it to a Georgia Lottery retailer to verify that it was a winner. “I was so happy I couldn’t believe it,” Ms. Singal exclaimed.
Ms. Singal, 41, will use her winnings to pay bills and to buy something special for her children.
Fast Stop, located at 5805 Buford Hwy. in Doraville, sold the winning ticket.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned over $7.6 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs. These include Georgia’s HOPE scholarship program; a statewide, voluntary pre-kindergarten program for four-year-olds; and a wide range of technological and capital upgrades for the state’s schools, technical institutes, colleges, universities and public libraries.
