ATLANTA – An aircraft engine mechanic from Saint Marys is soaring as a Fantasy 5 top prize winner. Henry Hunter matched all five winning numbers in the Aug. 31 Fantasy 5 drawing and won $25,718.
“I am so happy!” Mr. Hunter exclaims. “I’m still in shock.”
Mr. Hunter discovered that he was a lucky winner when he received a printout of the draw results from a Georgia Lottery retailer. “When I saw it I couldn’t believe it. I started crying,” he shares. “The clerk came from behind the counter and gave me a big hug.”
Mr. Hunter randomly selected his lucky combination for the Aug. 31 Fantasy 5 drawing: 5-12-14-18-24.
The winning ticket was purchased at Cisco Travel Plaza II, located at 491 Saint Marys Rd. in Kingsland.
Mr. Hunter works at Naval Air Station in Jacksonville. The 49-year-old plans to pay bills with his winnings.
According to Mr. Hunter, he’s always been lucky. He won $6,000 playing Quick Cash Keno a few years ago.
Georgia Lottery retailers selling winning Fantasy 5 tickets receive a retailer incentive bonus of $2,000. The retailer incentive bonus increases by $2,000 each time Fantasy 5 rolls. If more than one winning top prize ticket is sold, the retailers selling the top prize winning tickets will share the bonus. Cisco Travel Plaza will receive a retailer incentive bonus of $2,000.
