ATLANTA – A Sandersville man is revved up after winning a brand-new car. Fred Watts played the Georgia Lottery instant game Mustang Money and won a 2006 Ford Mustang Convertible.
Georgia Lottery retailer Busy Bee, located at 703 S. Harris St. in Sandersville, sold the lucky ticket.
According to Mr. Watts, he scratched his ticket outside the store. “I couldn’t believe it,” he shares. “I feel great!”
Mr. Watts, 57, works for a company that produces polyurethane pipes. He looks forward to having fun in his new car.
Mustang Money is a $3 game with a $75,000 top prize and the chance to instantly win one of 10 Ford Mustang Convertibles.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned over $7.6 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs. These include Georgia’s HOPE scholarship program; a statewide, voluntary pre-kindergarten program for four-year-olds; and a wide range of technological and capital upgrades for the state’s schools, technical institutes, colleges, universities and public libraries.
