ATLANTA- Tamera Anderson Hydrick and her husband, Robert, have been in the market for a new car. Their search came to an end when Mrs. Hydrick played Mustang Money, a Georgia Lottery instant game, and won a brand-new Ford Mustang convertible.
The mortgage specialist scratched the ticket while sitting in her car. She was so surprised that she went back into the store and asked the clerk to verify that it was a winning ticket. “I had to read it again and again,” Mrs. Hydrick describes.
The Albany resident can now cruise in her convertible when she goes on fishing trips. “I’ll have to scrape the bugs out of my teeth from smiling while driving with the top down,” Mrs. Hydrick says.
Mrs. Hydrick purchased her winning ticket at Seymour Food Store #1. The store is located at 1200 Dawson Rd. in Albany.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned over $7.6 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs. These include Georgia’s HOPE scholarship program; a statewide, voluntary pre-kindergarten program for four-year-olds; and a wide range of technological and capital upgrades for the state’s schools, technical institutes, colleges, universities and public libraries.
