ATLANTA – Jumping up and down was all that Adrienne Washington could do when she played Mustang Money, a Georgia Lottery instant game. Mrs. Washington couldn’t contain her excitement because she can now drive around her hometown Cairo with the top down and her sunglasses on after winning a brand-new Ford Mustang convertible.
The 33-year-old Taco Bell manager says that winning the car has been a fun and exciting experience. She looks forward to enjoying her prize with her husband, Kelvin, and their two children.
The winning ticket was purchased at L & M Food Mart. The store is located at 1001 Fifth St. NE in Cairo.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned over $7.6 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs. These include Georgia’s HOPE scholarship program; a statewide, voluntary pre-kindergarten program for four-year-olds; and a wide range of technological and capital upgrades for the state’s schools, technical institutes, colleges, universities and public libraries.
