Beauty Salon Owner Cruises Her Way to Mustang Money Prize

Tuesday, November 1, 2005

ATLANTA - Beauty salon owner Madalena Shadron can now cruise up to her business in a new car. Mrs. Shadron played Mustang Money, a Georgia Lottery instant game, and won a brand-new Ford Mustang convertible.

Mrs. Shadron scratched her ticket while she was at work, and what she saw got her up and running. “I ran back to the store, and they made a copy of my ticket,” the Brunswick resident said.

The 48-year-old chose to play Mustang Money because of her love of the car. “I always wanted a Mustang,” Mrs. Shadron exclaimed. “I look forward to driving it around.”

Mrs. Shadron, 48, is the owner of Fantasia Hair Studio. She purchased her winning ticket at Jack’s Citgo, located at 3424 Cypress Mill Rd. in Brunswick.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned over $7.8 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs. These include Georgia’s HOPE scholarship program; a statewide, voluntary pre-kindergarten program for four-year-olds; and a wide range of technological and capital upgrades for the state’s schools, technical institutes, colleges, universities and public libraries.
