ATLANTA – A Marietta man is driving off into the sunset in a brand-new car after a Georgia Lottery win. Eugene David Marks III played the instant game Mustang Money and won his dream car – a Ford Mustang convertible.
Mr. Marks was at home when he scratched his lucky ticket. “I had to read the bottom of the ticket four times,” the 38-year-old explained. “I didn’t believe I won until I took it to the store and had it confirmed.”
Mr. Marks works as a loss prevention manager for a department store. He looks forward to enjoying his new car in his free time. “I’m just really surprised!”
The winning ticket was purchased at Village Convenience Store, located at 133 Johnson Ferry Rd. in Marietta.
Mustang Money is a $3 game with a $75,000 top prize and the chance to instantly win one of 10 Ford Mustang convertibles.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned over $7.8 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs. These include Georgia’s HOPE scholarship program; a statewide, voluntary pre-kindergarten program for four-year-olds; and a wide range of technological and capital upgrades for the state’s schools, technical institutes, colleges, universities and public libraries.
