Lotto South Rolls to a Holly Jolly $25 Million

Thursday, December 22, 2005

ATLANTA – It’s the most wonderful time of the year as the Lotto South jackpot continues to roll. The jackpot for Saturday’s drawing is an estimated $25 MILLION to a single annuity winner. It only takes $1 for a chance to win the second highest jackpot in Lotto South history.

“With the holiday season here, it’s a fun and exciting time of year for the Lotto South jackpot to keep growing,” said Georgia Lottery Corporation President and CEO Margaret DeFrancisco. “It’s also exciting and rewarding to know that every dollar raised benefits lottery-funded educational programs in Georgia.”

Lotto South offers players two payment options: 30 annual payments in equal installments or a single check worth the cash value of the estimated jackpot. Any lucky Lotto South player who matches all six winning numbers could walk away with over $833,000 a year (before taxes) for 30 years with the annuity option. Or a player could pre-select the cash option and win a single check worth approximately $14 million (before taxes).

Any Georgia Lottery retailer who sells a winning Lotto South jackpot ticket can earn the $25,000 retailer incentive bonus payment. If more than one winning jackpot ticket is sold in Georgia, the retailers selling the winning tickets will share the $25,000 retailer incentive bonus.
