ATLANTA – Jasper resident Henretta Ensley has become another lucky Georgia Lottery player. She won $150,000 playing Giant Jumbo Bucks, an instant game.
Ms. Ensley was at home with her brother when she found out that she was a winner. “He was just hollering that we’d won $150,000,” the 31-year-old recalls.
Ms. Ensley plans to use her winnings to buy a new car and a new house.
McAllister’s Food Mart, located at 1521 W. Walnut Ave. in Dalton, sold the winning ticket.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned over $8.2 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs including Georgia's HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia's Prekindergarten Program. More than 900,000 students have received HOPE Scholarships, and more than 700,000 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
