ATLANTA – A lucky Georgia Lottery player from Loganville has won a brand-new car just three months after winning $50,000. Elliott Fleck recently played the instant game Corvette Cash and won a brand-new Chevrolet Corvette Convertible. In May 2006, he played the instant game $200 Million Cash Spectacular and won $50,000.
According to Fleck, he purchased the Corvette Cash ticket after spending a week in Virginia with his brother-in-law, who owns a Corvette. He enjoyed riding around in his brother-in-law’s Corvette so much that he wanted one for himself.
Jimmy Kool’s, located at 1801 Rock Chapel Rd. in Lithonia, sold the lucky ticket.
Fleck scratched his ticket outside the store and discovered he won a Corvette. “I went in the store and told everyone I won the car,” he says.
Fleck, 43, works as a maintenance manager at a packaging company. He and his wife, Bibi, have three children.
Corvette Cash is a $3 game with prizes up to $75,000 and the chance to instantly win one of 10 Chevrolet Corvette Convertibles. The Georgia Lottery will pay required minimum federal and state tax withholding, sales tax, tag and title fees for each vehicle prize winner.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned over $8.4 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs including Georgia's HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia's Prekindergarten Program. More than 900,000 students have received HOPE Scholarships, and more than 700,000 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
