ATLANTA – A technical college student is at the head of the class as a Fantasy 5 top prize winner. Ms. Jamie Walker matched all five numbers in the Fantasy 5 drawing on Sept. 25 and won $234,293.
The winning numbers for the Sept. 25 drawing were: 7-10-18-30-38. Walker visited the Georgia Lottery Web site and discovered that her Quik Pik numbers were a winning combination.
"I was so happy that I screamed!" Walker exclaims. "I'm still kind of stunned."
According to Walker, 21, she waited awhile to claim her prize so that she could decide how to spend her winnings. "I'm going to help my mom and grandmother, and I'm going to fund my education," she shares.
Walker is enrolled at Miller-Motte Technical College in Chattanooga, Tenn., where she resides.
Chevron Family Food Mart, located at 705 N. Varnell Rd. in Tunnel Hill, sold the lucky ticket. Georgia Lottery retailers selling winning Fantasy 5 tickets receive a retailer incentive bonus of $2,000. The retailer incentive bonus increases by $2,000 each time Fantasy 5 rolls. If more than one winning top prize ticket is sold, the retailers selling the top prize winning tickets will share the bonus. Chevron Family Food Mart will receive a retailer incentive bonus of $12,000.
