ATLANTA – A law firm employee is courting a Georgia Lottery win. Kathy Lindsey matched all five winning numbers in the Oct. 20 Fantasy 5 drawing and won $180,991.
Shell, located at 1860 Highway 18 in West Point, sold the top prize ticket.
The winning numbers for the Fantasy 5 drawing on Oct. 20 were: 5-12-30-36-38. Lindsey says that her husband, Richard, randomly picked her winning numbers.
According to Lindsey, she was speechless when she visited the Georgia Lottery's Web site and saw that she was a lucky winner.
The 50-year-old says she will use her winnings to buy a new car and to help out her family.
Lindsey works as a customer service representative for a law firm. She resides in Montgomery, Ala.
Georgia Lottery retailers selling winning Fantasy 5 tickets receive a retailer incentive bonus of $2,000. The retailer incentive bonus increases by $2,000 each time Fantasy 5 rolls. If more than one winning top prize ticket is sold, the retailers selling the top prize winning tickets will share the bonus. Shell will receive a retailer incentive bonus of $10,000.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned over $8.6 billion to the state of Georgia for education.
