ATLANTA – Downing Jeffrey Duncan got a dose of good luck when he purchased a Fantasy 5 ticket after a doctor's appointment. Duncan recently checked his ticket and discovered he won $18,694 in the Fantasy 5 drawing on Oct. 10.
The winning numbers for the Oct. 10 drawing were: 9-23-24-25-31. Duncan, a resident of Rome, was returning home from a doctor's appointment in Calhoun when he stopped for gas and purchased his Quik Pik ticket.
According to Duncan, 42, he will save most of his winnings. He plans to help his two sisters and hopes to treat himself to something special.
"I'll probably get one of those HDTVs pretty soon," he shares.
BP Shop, located at 1090 Red Bud Lane in Calhoun, sold Duncan's top prize ticket. A second top prize ticket for the Oct. 10 Fantasy 5 drawing was purchased in Atlanta.
Georgia Lottery retailers selling winning Fantasy 5 tickets receive a retailer incentive bonus of $2,000. The retailer incentive bonus increases by $2,000 each time Fantasy 5 rolls. If more than one winning top prize ticket is sold, the retailers selling the top prize winning tickets will share the bonus. BP Shop will receive a retailer incentive bonus of $1,000.
