ATLANTA – A Flowery Branch businessman is celebrating a Fantasy 5 top prize win. Lance Stadmiller matched all five winning numbers in the Fantasy 5 drawing on Oct. 31 and was one of two players to win $448,168.
The winning numbers for the Oct. 31 drawing were: 10-17-23-24-38.
Stadmiller purchased his Quik Pik ticket at Gaines Ferry Shell, located at 5976-B Atlanta Hwy. in Flowery Branch. The second top prize ticket in the Oct. 31 drawing was sold in Waynesboro.
Stadmiller, 45, is the owner of California Closets. He was at work when he visited the Georgia Lottery's Web site and learned that he was a lucky winner.
"I just started shaking. I couldn't believe it," he says. "I called my wife into the office, and she started screaming. Everyone in the office started joking and asking if we won the lottery. Well we did, so it was pretty funny!"
According to Stadmiller, he has always been a lucky guy. "I consider myself fortunate."
Georgia Lottery retailers selling winning Fantasy 5 tickets receive a retailer incentive bonus of $2,000. The retailer incentive bonus increases by $2,000 each time Fantasy 5 rolls. If more than one winning top prize ticket is sold, the retailers selling the top prize winning tickets will share the bonus. Gaines Ferry Shell will receive a retailer incentive bonus of $11,000.
