ATLANTA – A cement truck driver is enjoying a concrete Georgia Lottery win. John Hill played Win for Life and won the game's second prize of $1,000 a week for a year.
Hill matched five out of six numbers plus the Free Ball in the Win for Life drawing on Nov. 11 to win the second prize, which totals $52,000.
The winning numbers for the Nov. 11 Win for Life drawing were: 1-13-15-21-28-34 and the Free Ball was 22.
Hill purchased his Quik Pik ticket at The Corner Store, located at 3146 Ray Owens Rd., in his hometown of Appling. On the morning after the drawing, he returned to the store and received a printout of the draw results.
"I was so surprised!" Hill exclaims. "Everyone in the store congratulated me."
Hill, 57, says he is still deciding how he will spend his winnings.
"It's kind of hard to say right now. I'm still waiting for the reality of this to hit me."
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned over $8.6 billion to the state of Georgia for education.
