Georgia Lottery Introduces Strike Gold and Treasure Hunt

ATLANTA – Enjoy the chance to strike gold on a treasure hunt with the Georgia Lottery Corporation’s two new instant games. Play Strike Gold for $1 and win up to $6,000. Or play the $2 game Treasure Hunt and win up to $30,000.

To play Strike Gold, scratch off the entire play area. Find a “GOLD” symbol in the play area and win the prize shown under it. Win up to six times! Players can win a free ticket, $2, $3, $6, $10, $14, $24, $36, $60, $100, $600 and the top prize of $6,000. Overall odds for Strike Gold are 1 in 4.69.

To play Treasure Hunt, scratch off the entire play area. Match any of YOUR NUMBERS to either of the WINNING NUMBERS and win the prize shown for that number. Get a “coin” symbol and instantly win $50 for that symbol. Win up to 10 times! Players can win a free ticket, $3, $5, $6, $7, $10, $15, $25, $50, $75, $150, $250, $550 and the top prize of $30,000. Overall odds for Treasure Hunt are 1 in 4.01.

Strike Gold and Treasure Hunt go on sale at lottery retailers statewide today. Prizes up to $599 can be claimed at any location where lottery instant tickets are sold. Players who win prizes over $599 may claim their winnings at one of the seven Georgia Lottery district offices. These are located in Dalton, Duluth, Columbus, Macon, Augusta, Thomasville, Savannah, and at the GLC headquarters in Atlanta. Winners can also mail a completed claim form, along with the signed winning ticket, to the GLC headquarters.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned over $6 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs. These include Georgia’s HOPE scholarship program; a statewide, voluntary pre-kindergarten program for four-year-olds; and a wide range of technological and capital upgrades for the state’s schools, technical institutes, colleges, universities and public libraries.
