ATLANTA – Tammy Andrews of Rydal is a $1 million winner playing the new Georgia Lottery instant game, Georgia's $500 Million Club.
She purchased the winning ticket at CITGO Southern Kitchen, 794 Casswhite Road, Cartersville.
Andrews, 31, said she hasn't decided how she'll spend the money but is excited to win.
She was talking about the instant game with a friend at the convenience store when she decided to play.
"I was shocked and surprised," said Andrews, a U.S. Postal Service delivery woman.
The mother of two says she feels very lucky.
"Winning feels good," she said.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned over $8.8 billion to the state of Georgia for education.
