ATLANTA – A taxicab driver from Brunswick is driving off with a Georgia Lottery win. LePatricia Pasco played the instant game Fat Cat and won a $30,000 top prize.
"I played the Fat Cat game because I love animals," Pasco shared.
Arco Mini Mart, located at 3823 Norwich St. in Brunswick sold the lucky ticket. Pasco, 30, scratched the ticket at home.
"I was jumping up and down, screaming and crying," she said. "I thought I was having a heart attack."
According to Pasco, she will use a portion of her winnings to purchase a new car.
"I'm also going to spoil my sister's two kids and buy them some new clothes and shoes for the summer," she said.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned over $8.8 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs including Georgia's HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia's Prekindergarten Program. More than 1 million students have received HOPE, and more than 790,000 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
