Monday, April 16, 2007

ATLANTA – A LaGrange mechanic has towed in a $350,000 Georgia Lottery win. Loc Lam played the instant game $350,000 Jackpot and won one of the game's top prizes.

"I was surprised," said Lam. "I'm really happy about it."

7-11-21 Food Mart, located at 2586 Upper Big Springs Rd. in LaGrange, sold the lucky ticket.

Lam, 44, is married with one son. According to Lam, he will use his winnings to pay off his home and car.

"I'd also like to take a vacation," he added.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned over $9 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs including Georgia's HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia's Prekindergarten Program. More than 1 million students have received HOPE, and more than 790,000 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
