ATLANTA - A construction manager is all smiles after winning $250,000 in the April 6 Mega Million drawing. Jeffery Rose, 52, was traveling through Georgia when he stopped for peanuts and pralines and purchased the winning ticket.
He bought his lucky numbers at Clyde's Market #30, 20880 S. Coastal Highway in Riceboro, selecting the Quik Pik option. Winning numbers from the April 6 Mega Millions drawing were: 24-32-34-36-39 and the Mega Ball was 6.
Rose found out about his winnings a week after he purchased the ticket. He checked the winning numbers on the Georgia Lottery Web site.
"I didn't say anything for about four to five minutes," said Rose, a resident of Coraopolis, Pa. "I hadn't thought about checking it before now."
According to Rose, he will use his winnings to take a trip to Switzerland, pay off bills and buy a house.
"I am very happy," he exclaimed.
