ATLANTA – Tracie Turcotte of Savannah is enjoying her second $10,000 win in the Georgia Lottery’s monthly Maximum Green Extra Chance drawings. Turcotte’s latest win Thursday comes less than a year since she won last summer.
Turcotte, 29, watched the drawing with her husband, Matt, who is stationed at Fort Stewart.
“We were eating dinner, and I ran out the back door and he ran out behind me,” she said. “We both were screaming.”
Able to attend school with her first lottery win, Turcotte recently obtained an esthetician license.
“It’s perfect timing,” she said. “I went to school with the first, and I’m using this to pay it off.”
Maximum Green is an instant game with $5 million top prizes.
Players have the opportunity to enter non-winning tickets in the monthly Maximum Green Extra Chance drawings to win one of 10 monthly prizes of $10,000.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $12.5 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.3 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.1 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
