ATLANTA – A Morven woman can cross winning the lottery off of her laundry list. Misty Rowland, a self-employed housekeeper, won a $50,000 top prize playing the Georgia Lottery instant game Jumbo Bucks Classic.

Rowland, 31, purchased her ticket at Flash Foods #0275, 11596 Adel Highway in Morven. She scratched it at home.

"I started jumping up and down," she said. "I couldn't believe it."

According to Rowland, she plans to go to college to earn a nursing degree.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned more than $10.5 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs including Georgia's HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia's Pre-K Program. More than 1.1 million students have received HOPE, and more than 940,000 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
